Hi there! We’re excited to share with you our innovative „UV-Fingerprint“ technology, designed to make the world a better and safer place. At our startup, we’re driven by a deep desire to positively impact society by providing novel solutions that deliver real value.

One of our colleagues, Lukas, has pioneered a liquid analysis methodology that has broad applications in combating issues like drug counterfeiting and fraudulent wine production. This groundbreaking technology was originally developed at the university level, and we’re now committed to bringing it to the commercial market through our startup venture.

On November 30, 2023, we secured the second place in the Grand Finale of the prestigious EIT Jumpstarter program, surpassing over 620 projects across Europe. The competition, held in Athens, marked a significant triumph for Lightly Technologies in the Health category. It serves as a testament to our relentless efforts in developing an innovative portable analyzer. The journey has been nothing short of thrilling.

Lightly Foundation

After successful visit by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Washington and San Diego, we founded a startup with great potencial.

1st Prototype

Development of the first „Catcher“ prorotype to TRL 4/5. followed by bug fixing and preparation for upgraded version.

EIT Jumpstarter

Won second prize at the EU-funded European competition in Athens‘ Grand Finale, Health Category, receiving 5 000 €

Grant and Strategy Partner

Received a 28 500 € grant, called „Prototype and Verify“, from JIC – Business with a Purpose, and sealed cooperation with Legal Strategic Partner.

2nd Prototype

Development of the second prototype with fixed bugs throught outsourcing, gearing up for serial production and building two more devices for faster testing.
